Can Money buy Happiness? Money is people’s number one priority. It enables them to purchase food, clothing, and shelter. Money can buy anything with a price on it, but can it buy happiness? Happiness is not an item you can buy, it is something you can feel. Money cannot bring you happiness, only satisfaction. We learn growing up not everything in this world is free. Money can only give you a short term of happiness. When you buy everything you want, you do not have anything to look forward to. Instead, we buy more and more and use our money on things we can live without. Money can turn you against someone and make you in to someone you do not want to be. Money has the tendency to make people greedy. You are always going to get†¦show more content†¦I also believe the reason we have high percentages of robberies and killings are because people are desperate for money. Being desperate and greedy can have you thrown in jail and leave your family with a bad reputation from your bad choices. Ot her people can be the complete opposite. They have so much money, they think they need more. All they care about is money, not realizing they could be hurting other in the process, or themselves in the future. Money can be a scary thing. Growing up, I have learned that if you work hard for something then you will appreciate it more, rather than someone giving things to you all the time. I Volunteered With Two Different Community Partners

For my service learning, I volunteered with two different community partners. The first service learning area I volunteered in was connecting with children at shelter and help work on a beautification project at the Miami Bridge Shelter. Miami Bridge is a Miami-Dade shelter for children who are victims of human trafficking, drug dealers, runaways, and abandoned youths which delivers them a fostering and supportive environment. They reconnect the youth ages from seven to seventeen with educational, social and job-related opportunities. While at Miami Bridge, a group of us from Barry had to paint the children’s bathrooms over with a different color such as purple for the girls and a cream color for the boys. After that, we had a task with the kids to pick up rocks in the sand with shovels because the shelter plans on making a play area there. Furthermore, the second service learning area I volunteered in was tutoring refugee children from Church World Service. Church World Service is global organization that helps vulnerable people in the United States with food, housing, and job opportunities. Another part of my service learning with Church World service was completed by helping them with their 8th Annual Refugee Children’s Thanksgiving Celebration. There were about 100 people having a good time with food, games, and gifts to give away at the celebration. Swooping low over areas ofpossible hostility, spies in the sky maintain a surveillance that helps keeppeace in a volatile world. How many objects, exaclty, are orbiting out there? Todays count is 4,914. The satellites begin with a launch, which in the U.S. takes place at CapeCanaveral in Florida, NASAs Wallops Flight Center in Virginia, or, for polarorbiters, Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. One satellite in 20 iscrippled by the jolt of lift-off, or dies in the inferno of a defective rocketblast, or is thrust into improper orbit. A few simply vanish into the immensityof space. T he Times They Are A- Changin 'Bob Dylan "Come gather round people, wherever you roam, and admit that the waters, around you have grown." As the title indicates, this song is about change and how it is so prevalent in our lives. There are numerous lines throughout the song that reiterate this opening line. Not only is this song talking about change, but it also talks about how we accept change and how we deal with it. Dylan is emphasizing that you have to adjust to change and try to understand the times that are constantly changing. Dylan hits on a lot of different levels as he is getting his point across. At first he starts off broad by talking to all people in general, as is indicated in the opening line of the song. The next stanza starts off "come writers and critics, who prophesize with your pen." Dylan gradually gets more and more specific with each stanza. In this stanza he is addressing "writers and critics, who prophesize with [their] pen." By using the word "prophesize" he is giving the impression that they have a huge influence on the public and that what they write is very important. He is telling them not to jump to conclusions since nobody knows what is going to happen in the future. In the next stanza, Dylan addresses senators and congressman. A thought that just occurred to me is that this song was written during the Vietnam War, a time when Americans had many different opinions and were questioning the government. When he says, "come senators and congressmen, please heed the call, don't stand in the doorway, don't block up the hall," Dylan is telling the senators and congressman to listen to the people and not to interfere with the changing thoughts and rights of every American.
